
At Pillar Bank, we’re always looking for ways to strengthen our team, enhance our services, and connect more deeply with the communities we serve. This is why we dedicate two of our bank holidays each year—Presidents’ Day and Juneteenth—to training and team-building activities for all our staff.
On Presidents’ Day, we kicked off 2025 with an exciting and productive offsite training day, bringing our team together to get ready for the year ahead. The day was packed with valuable insights, fresh ideas, and plenty of inspiration. Senior Management and CEO Shane Bauer were on hand to share their vision for the future, highlighting exciting initiatives and what’s in store for our bank in the upcoming year.
One of the most exciting announcements was the launch of a new committee, which will focus on attracting and engaging the next generation of customers. This committee, set to begin in March, will include a council made up of staff members aged 18-30, ensuring our team reflects the interests and values of younger generations. Together, we’ll work to shape strategies that will help us connect with and serve the next wave of customers.
We also heard updates about the progress of our newest location in Amery, which has generated a great deal of enthusiasm from the local community. People are excited about our presence, and we’re thrilled to be a part of the city’s growth and development.
A key highlight of the day was our session with Jeff Kersten from the Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection. Jeff’s talk on fraud prevention was both eye-opening and incredibly timely, given how prevalent fraud is today. We’re committed to staying ahead of these threats and ensuring that our customers’ security remains a top priority.
To cap off the day, we concluded with some fun team-building games that brought everyone closer together. It was a great opportunity to bond, collaborate, and have some fun after an informative day.
